ACCOUNT MANAGER
Our relationship with our clients is what makes our projects, and our agency, successful.
We’re seeking to add an organized, personable, and innovative Account Manager to our team to be that liaison, working with clients and creatives to solve problems and exceed expectations.
Defy’s next account manager will work closely with a roster of both retainer and single project clients, managing all communication between the client and all stakeholder groups (most notably Defy’s creative and strategic teams).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all the nuances associated with day-to-day account management – it will be your job to make sure all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and within scope, and that your clients feel completely comfortable and heard throughout the process.
The other major component of the role is strategy: our account managers play a significant role in proactively helping our clients achieve their long-term business goals.
Flexibility and attention to detail are a must for this role, as are strong communication skills. Bonus points if you can handle pressure with a sense of humor.
We are currently working remotely but hybrid work is within our foreseeable future, so we are seeking candidates who are within a reasonable commute.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Account Manager, you will:
Build strong relationships with clients and Defy staff
Ensure client satisfaction
Ensure project profitability
Coordinate with Project Manager to keep all projects organized, efficient, and on-track
Identify potential challenges and obstacles in advance to craft solutions
Conduct client meetings and check-ins, deliver ongoing project updates
Maximize client retention
Identify opportunities for account growth, new project development
DESIRED TRAITS
In addition to next-level attention to detail and excellent communication skills, we’re looking for a candidate who is passionate about relationship-building, comfortable presenting, and great at multitasking and prioritizing multiple streams of work.
It would be sweet, but isn’t required, if you also have:
Account management experience in a creative or brand agency setting
Experience with Workamajig, or a similar project management platform
Production management experience
